Pharmaceutical development and the potential for nanomedicine and nanotechnology, their presence in clinical therapy, effects in therapeutic treatments and in modern diagnostics was the central theme of the 14th Central European Symposium on Pharmaceutical Technology “CESPT 2023”, which was held in Ohrid from 28 to September 30.
The organizer of this prestigious thematic scientific symposium was the Faculty of Pharmacy at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje and the Macedonian Pharmaceutical Association.
The event is even more significant because for the first time among a number of prestigious educational and scientific institutions, the opportunity to organize this symposium was awarded to the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, North Macedonia, which chose picturesque Ohrid as its host city.
A large number of presentations at this prestigious symposium were devoted to innovative technologies in the production of safe and effective drugs, nanotechnology in pharmacy and its application in modern therapeutic practices, pharmaceutical quality and regulatory challenges. The symposium also featured experts from this country, as well as experts from Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Austria, Italy, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Albania and other countries from Europe and the surrounding region.
During the symposium, 10 presentations were held by eminent scientists in the field of pharmaceutical development and nanotechnology, 35 oral presentations by prominent scientists in this field and 114 poster presentations were presented.
This year’s Central European Symposium on Pharmaceutical Technology 14th CESPT was held with the support of Replek, a company that was the main sponsor of the event.
