The student can earn a maximum of 100 points during each course. The 40 points are obtained with continuous education during lectures and practical classes and 60 points are result of the final examination (exams) and assessments (40:60 points).
The grading scale includes the following elements:
- Lectures – 10 points,
- Practical classes – 20 points and
- Independent tasks (project assignments, seminar papers, homework, project activities, field experience activities, preparation herbarium specimens, etc.) – 0 to 10 points.
The student needs to obtain 30 or 40 points to receive a signature from the Professor. The grading scale includes the following elements:
- Final exams – 20 to 40 points,
- Practical exams – 5 to 10 points and
- Oral exams – 5 to 10 points.
Total scores for the student are ranking from 60 to 100 points.
Grading scale:
- up to 60 points – grade 5 (five) F,
- 60-66 points – grade 6 (six) E,
- 67-75 points – grade 7 (seven) D,
- 76-84 points – grade 8 (eight) C,
- 85-93 points – grade 9 (nine) B and
- 94-100 points – grade 10 (ten) A.
The courses that do not include practical classes or where the above-mentioned forms of independent tasks are not foreseen, the grading scale are adjusted appropriately.
